Announcements for the week of 1/27/08

EVANGELISM TRAINING -
On Friday, January 25th we will conduct our third Evangelism Training Class. Class begins at 6p.m. with prep work for the LYN Breakfast (on Saturday) followed by evangelism training at 7:00PM. These madatory classes are a prerequisite for teens and chaperones who plan to serve with the New City Relief Bus in April.

TEEN BELIEVER’S MEETING – Our second Teen Believers Meeting is scheduled for TONIGHT, January 27th from 6:00-7:30PM.

SWAT – Students With A Testimony  – Will meet at Beth Center High School’s flag pole this Wednesday, January 30th at 7:00AM. All students are welcome to join this time of prayer and devotions.

SNOW CAMP  – We will leave for Snow Camp this Friday at 4:45PM.. Be sure to pick up an information letter which will answer important questions.

EMERGENCY FOOD BANK – There is a need for 1 or 2 people to take over the Emergency Food Ministry of the church. If interested, contact Nancy Harwell, church secretary. 
  
MARK YOUR CALENDAR  – Pastor Bil Gallatin will speak to our congregation on Sunday, February 3rd. Mr. Gallatin is Pastor of Calvary Chapel Fingerlakes, NY. He is also featured in the book “Harvest” which recounts the origins of the Calvary Chapel movement.

WIDOW’S FELLOWSHIP – On Friday, February 8 @ 7p.m. Calvary Chapel Fredericktown will host its first widows fellowship meeting. Meetings will be held monthly in the church cafeteria. Our desire is to address the spiritual/emotional needs of women who have experienced the loss of a spouse, by encouraging support, and promoting fellowship through discussion and the sharing of scripture. Time will be set aside during the first meeting for participant feedback concerning the focus, and future direction of the ministry. MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST – The next men’s breakfast will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 9:00 a.m. at the Hartley Inn in Carmichaels. Please review Chapter 3 in the Calvary Chapel Distinctives book.
“SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS” POTLUCK – Join your church family for food and fellowship at the Fredericktown American Legion on Sunday, February 17 immediately following the second service. Please bring a potluck dish large enough for your family plus 4 more. The church will provide the meat and drinks. A sign-up sheet is located in the rear of the sanctuary.
CALVARY CHAPEL COOKS- Keep those recipes coming for our Calvary Chapel Cookbook. Please submit complete recipes with your name and phone number in the box at the rear of the sanctuary or post here in the comment section.  Parents & Teens
Thirty-one young people will be heading to Somerset to attend and awesome weekend at Snow Camp is less than 2 week. All registration forms and final payments are now due. To answer any logistic questions please pick up the Snow Camp Info letter off the back table.
 
We would like to thank those who generously provided the finances for 9 full and partial scholarships.
 
Evangelism Training

Love Your Neighbor, is a monthly outreach which offers gently used children’s clothing to families in our fellowship &  the community will be open this Saturday January 26th from 9:00AM – 12:00 Noon. Drop by and do a little shopping.
 
We will be having our second Teen Believers Meeting next Sunday January 27th 6:00-7:30PM.
 
 
March for Life = The annual March for Life will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. The intent of the march is to educate fellow Americans about the evils flowing from the Supreme Court’s infamous Roe V. Wade decision on January 22, 1973. A full program is planned to include a rally on the Mall, march to the Supreme Court, and a meeting with Representatives on Capitol Hill. Rally will begin at 12pm.

Where:  The Fredericktown American Legion
When:  Immediately following the second service
