THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY – Our evening study IS CANCELLED THIS WEEK.

 

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE - A special Good Friday service will be held, this Friday, March 21 @ 7p.m.

YOUTH GROUP – is cancelled this Thursday.

 EVANGELISM TRAINING – Will meet on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30p.m.  We will also utilize this time to prepare for the LYN Breakfast.

LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR – LYN will be open this Saturday, March 22 from 9a.m. to 12noon. Free children’s clothing exchange and pancake breakfast.

NEW YORK CITY TRIP – Our last preparation meeting will be on Saturday, March 22 rom 12:30 to 5p.m.  We will discuss a host of topics, including our homework and review of Bible tracts.  We will also use this time to finalize last minute details.

PARENT MEETING – A parent meeting will follow at 5p.m.  We will answer question and review our travel plans during this time.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE – Calvary Chapel Christian School is now accepting applications for the current school year for the following positions: Kindergarten Teacher and Substitute Teachers. If interested, contact Beckie Cannon at (724) 377-2523.

REMINDER Men’s Retreat – Please make you retreat payments to Nancy (Church Secretary).  We have 17 men from our church  who have decided to attend this years retreat hosted by CC Cleveland.  The retreat will be held at Life Ministries “Christ’s Castle” Retreat Center (April 25-27), near Franklin/Oil City, PA..  There is still time if you’d like to attend, but space is limited, so sign up    ASAP to reserve your spot.  A sign up sheet is located on the table in the rear of the sanctuary.  The theme is “Godly Men of the Bible”.  Cost is $65, due by Sunday, April 6.   Contact Doug Sahady with questions (724) 377-2155. 

Time Change EASTER OUTREACH - We are in need of volunteers for this years Easter Outreach.  We will meet to pack fruit  at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the church basement.  In addition to packers, we need  volunteers to deliver this years baskets. (Those delivering baskets will need to meet in the church basement by 1 p.m. on March 22).  If you would like to assist in packing or delivering Easter fruit to the elderly in our community  &  surrounding areas, please join us.  Monetary donations, & donations of pastel ribbon & wrapped candy will be accepted by Thursday, March 20 in the church office.  Sign-up sheets are located in the rear of the sanctuary.  Contact Jim and Diann Stakias at 724-684-5776. 

POT LUCK HELP NEEDED – We are in need of a place to hold indoor potlucks.  If anyone has any information about a location, please contact Tricia Blatnik 377-0074.

NEW YORK CITY RELIEF – On April 3rd a group of twelve missionaries will travel to New York  City to serve with the New York City Relief providing food and sharing the Good News of the Gospel with the homeless and needy people on the streets of Harlem, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan-Chelsea Park and Newark, NJ. The NYCR has an on-going need for new, men’s, white tube socks to be distributed to the homeless.  We would like to collect 450 pairs of socks . We hope you will join with us in helping reach our goal. Look for the “Sock Box” in the foyer to place your donations.

 CALVARY CHAPEL COOKS-  We need more recipes  for our Calvary Chapel Cookbook.  The sale of this cookbook will benefit missions.  Please submit complete recipes with your name and phone number in  the box at the rear of the sanctuary or at www.calvarychapelfredericktown.wordpress.com.  Call Shelly Thomas (267-3930) or Carol Steve (632-5421) w/  questions.
