Announcements for the week of 3/30/08

Sunday’s teaching: Acts 15:36-16:10

PLEASE KEEP IN YOUR PRAYERS- Richard White & Family, the family of Howard Rose, Mary Barrett, Mary Catherine Vizza, Beckie Cannon, Ron Elliott, Jess Falcion.

YOUTH BAND MEMBERS – Meet Tuesday at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria for pizza and ministry discussion with Pastor John.

COMMUNION- Will be celebrated this Thursday at 7 p.m. The study of Obadiah will continue next week.

WIDOWS FELLOWSHIP - Will meet Friday at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. 
 

NEW YORK CITY RELIEF- Please prayer for our twelve missionaries as they travel to New York City, THIS Thursday. They will serve with the New York City Relief in order to provide food and to share the Good News of the Gospel with people on the streets of Harlem, Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan-Chelsea Park and Newark, NJ. Last minute sock donations may be placed in the “Sock Box” located in the foyer.

ACQUIRE THE FIRE- ATF is a hot, spiritually electrifying youth conference that will challenge teens with this year’s theme to let “Their Voice Be Heard for Christ”. We have attended ATF for several years, and have seen the Lord use this event to grab hold of teens and truly change their lives. ATF is scheduled for May 2&3. The cost for the two day event ticket & transportation is $70. Registration deadline is April 17th. Flier/Permission slip available in foyer.

ETERNAL INVESTMENT- Once again we are asking for your generous financial support, to sponsor a teen, who otherwise would be unable to attend this impactful event. Donations can be placed in offering box. Please designate donation, Acquire the Fire.

MOTHER & TEEN DAUGHTER LUNCHEON~ “Reflections of Godly Beauty” – We will host a very special luncheon providing mothers & their teen daughters the opportunity to share a refreshing memorable experience together. The luncheon will be served in our “garden cafe” on Saturday May 10th at 12:00 noon. Tickets ($12.50 per person) will be available stating April 13th.

REMINDER: Men’s Retreat- Please make your retreat payments to Nancy (Church Secretary). Please remember to complete your registration form, and return it, along with the $65 fee to Nancy (church secretary) by Sunday, April 6. Checks are payable to Calvary Chapel. NEW ONLINE- Bible verses are now linked to the Adopt A Student daily prayers. In addition, a link to the complete King James Bible is available in the blogroll in the right-hand column of the www.calvarychapelfredericktown.wordpress.com site.
C&O CANAL MEN’S BIKE TRIP- A meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 9 @ 3:30 in the school cafeteria to discuss this years C&O Canal Bike Trip (5/21 thru 5/26). Anyone interested in participating should attend, as this will be the only meeting. The trip is for males, age 12 and up. Even if you cannot attend the entire trip, it will be possible to coordinate with the group, and to meet them somewhere along their route. The meeting will detail the itinerary, essential equipment, and transportation issues. There is a $10 fee. Contact Richard Birch, Jr., or Rich Cramer for details, and/or to sign up.
BELIEVER’S MEETING – a Believers Meeting will be held on Sunday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m.
DINNER AND A MOVIE- Join us Friday, April 18th for a “Dinner & a Movie”, potluck in the basement fellowship hall. Dinner will be held at 6p.m., followed by the movie “Facing the Giants” at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. RSVP by signing the sheet in the rear of the sanctuary. POT LUCK HELP NEEDED- We are in need of a place to hold indoor potlucks. If anyone has any information about a location, please contact Tricia Blatnik 377-0074.

CALVARY CHAPEL COOKS - We need more recipes for our Calvary Chapel Cookbook. The sale of this cookbook will benefit missions. Please submit complete recipes with your name and phone number in the box at the rear of the sanctuary or by posting in the comment section of this site, or call Shelly Thomas (267-3930) or Carol Steve (632-5421) w/ questions.
