THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY - “And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the remnant whom the Lord calls. (Joel 2:32). Join us for our Thursday evening study in the book of Joel at 7p.m..
MOVING HELP NEEDED- On Saturday, 5-31, a group of our church men are needed to assist Mr. Daniel and his family, in moving from their current residence, to a new one, near Marianna, Pa. Donald Rankin is providing a moving truck, so no other vehicles are needed, only movers. Volunteers should arrive at 9:00 am. Please see Daniel or Debbie for details & directions.
LAST CHANCE: CALVARY CHAPEL COOKS – Please don’t forget to turn in your recipes before the end of this month for our Calvary Chapel Cookbook. The sale of this cookbook will benefit missions. Please submit complete recipes with your name and phone number in the box at the rear of the sanctuary or at www.calvarychapelfredericktown.wordpress.com.  Call Shelly Thomas or Carol Steve w/ questions.
“ON FIRE SUMMER TOUR” - The Youth Group’s summer tour will begin in a few short weeks (June 12th). Please pick up a permission slip for transportation and participation in activities to be held at Ten Mile Park.

BAPTISM AND POTLUCK – A Water Baptism will be held on June 22. If you would like to be baptized, please contact Nancy Harwell. Also, stop by the church library to pick up a tape on the topic. Following the baptism, join your church family for food and fellowship at Pumpkin Run Park in Rices Landing. Bring a potluck dish large enough for your family plus 4 more. The church will provide the meat and drinks. A sign-up sheet is in the rear of the sanctuary.
HOT DOG SALE - Stop by the hot dog sale on the patio following the services TODAY. Proceeds will benefit this year’s Vacation Bible School.
BELIEVER’S MEETING - a Believers Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 8th, at 7:00 p.m.
“TREASURE ISLAND: DISCOVERING THE TREASURE OF GOD’S WORD” VBS- Vacation Bible School will be held June 16th thru the 20th, 8:45 a.m. to Noon, for children in preschool through 8th grade. To register children and/or to volunteer to help, contact the church office at 377-2522 or see Trina Rankin.
GOING GREEN – PROPS NEEDED FOR TREASURE ISLAND VBS- Bible School is so much fun – making new friends, learning great Bible lessons, and letting your imagination take you on exciting adventures. This year our adventure will take place on an exotic Tropical Island. Setting the stage and transforming our Sanctuary into a lush green island will take lots and lots of plants. If you have large potted plants or decorative artificial trees that you would be willing to loan for the week we would greatly appreciate it. Please sign the donation sheet and provide a brief description of your donation. Plants will need to be brought to church on Sunday, June 15th, and can be picked up on Sunday, June 22nd. Please write your name on each item donated for ease of return. See Pam Nuckels with questions 724-966-5221.

CCCS 5TH ANNUAL BENEFIT DINNER- Calvary Chapel Christian School invites you to attend the annual benefit dinner on Friday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Center in the Woods in California, PA. Please contact the school office at 724-377-2155 to RSVP before June 6th.

Tonight: Believers’ meeting, 7 p.m.

Love Your Neighbor - Love Your Neighbor will be open this Saturday, May 24 from 9 a.m. -noon. Volunteers are needed on Friday starting at 9 a.m. for our work day and 0on Saturday at 8 a.m. to assist with customers and preparing and serving breakfast. LYN offers free clothing for infants and children and a hot breakfast for all who come.

2008 Vacation Bible School - “Treasure Island: Discovering the Treasure of God’s Word” is this year’s VBS theme. VBS will be held June 16-20 for children in preschool through 8th grade. To register children and/or volunteer to help, contact the church office at 724-377-2522, or see Trina Rankin.

Alert: C&O Canal Trip - A meeting will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 3:30 p.m. at the church to finalize all bike trip details. Permission slips and money are due at this time. It is very important that volunteer drivers confirm their intent to drop members off in Cumberland and pick up the group in D.C. As previously announced, there is a need for drivers, especially to pick the group up in georgetown. See Rich Birch or Rich Cramer for information.

Cancellation – The CCCS school board meeting scheduled for Wednesday is cancelled. It will be rescheduled in June.
