CHRISTMAS COOKIE OUTREACH – As you begin baking for the Christmas season, please put some of your best cookies aside for our upcoming Christmas Cookie Outreach, scheduled for December 19th . If you are unfamiliar with this ministry, each year we attempt to share a little Christmas blessing by delivering Christmas cookies to needy families in our area. On average we deliver cookies to 100 families, and to do this we will need at least 150 dozen homemade cookies. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer for both cookie donations and those willing to assist in the packaging and/or delivering the cookies. We will need the cookies, delivery people and packers at the church on Saturday, December 19 @ 10a.m. If you’d like to drop your cookies off in the cafeteria, you can do so anytime before the above date and time. Be sure to designate your cookies by marking them for the cookie outreach. See Shelley Thomas with questions.

The CCCS Christmas Choir – will perform inside the Washington County Courthouse on Monday, December 14th from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. The choir is comprised of 3rd through 6th graders from our school.

PLEASE JOIN US – For two CCCS CHRISTMAS PLAYS – “Herald The Christmas Star” will be performed by the 3 thru 6 grades on Wednesday, December 16th @ 7 p.m. The Preschool/Kindergarten Class will perform their play on December 21 @ 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served in the church cafeteria following the performances.

 “CHRISTMAS TREES FOR MISSIONS” – The Morris Tree Farm will be selling Christmas trees to support the 2009 Hands & Feet Ministries Mission Trips. For every tree purchased a $5 donation will be made to the “Hands & Feet Ministries” mission teams! Pre-cut or cut fresh, your choice. NEW YEAR’S EVE POTLOCK AND GAME SHOW – Please join us on 12/31 @ 8:30p.m. (Following the New Year’s Eve Service) for our last potluck of 2009. The church will provide hotdogs, kielbasa and drinks. Please bring your favorite appetizer or snack to share with your church family. Signup sheets are on the back table. Please don’t forget to sign up!!!! GAME SHOW – On New Year’s Eve we will present for your enjoyment, a game show called “Family Hot Seat”. 5 member “family” teams will compete against each other in a fun, fast paced, variety game show. Family Hot Seat will incorporate elements from several popular television game shows. No physical skills are needed and only a little practical knowledge is required. If this sounds like fun, call your family & friends and put together a team. CHILDREN’S CHURCH: Please sign in all children in the appropriate areas as follows: Infant thru 2yrs will meet in the nursery.  3 yr old thru K will meet in the preschool room.  1^st thru 8^th grade will meet during the first service in the first floor classroom, and during the 2^nd service in the basement cafeteria.   Please remember to sign out your children from the nursery and the classrooms immediately following the service.  A “Cry Room” is available in the rear of the sanctuary for small infants or for nursing mothers.

THANKSGIVING PLAY – Calvary Chapel Christian School’s 1st and 2nd Grade students will present a Thanksgiving play on Monday, November 23rd at 6:00 p.m. All are invited to join in this celebration. Refreshments will be served following the play.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE – Wednesday, November 25th @7p.m. The regular Thursday service is cancelled due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

 ANNUAL THANKSGIVING OUTREACH – It’s that time again! Please prayerfully consider being a part of the Calvary Chapel Thanksgiving Outreach. We are in need of donations of food and time. UPDATE – Donated food items (except the turkey) need to be in the cafe by Tuesday 11/24 for the Thanksgiving outreach. Also if someone wants to donate an uncooked bird or money we will gladly put it to good use.  OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – Praise the Lord! One-hundred and thirty-one shoeboxes were collected and delivered for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.

PLEASE JOIN US – For a Christmas celebration of our Savior’s Birth on Saturday, December 12th from 6 to 8p.m. at the Community Square in Fredericktown. Calvary Chapel of Fredericktown will sponsor a Living Nativity, in addition there will be caroling (please join us), free Christmas cookies, hot chocolate/coffee, a bon fire, and fellowship. We are encouraging everyone from the church to come and be a part of this celebration as we reach out to members of the local community during this Christmas season. ALSO, please save emptied and cleaned gallon jugs for the living nativity. Place jugs in the box in the foyer (main level).

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES: BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION AND CAMPBELL’S LABELS FOR EDUCATION – Calvary Chapel Christian School is collecting Box Tops for Education and Campbell’s labels. As you purchase General Mills products, please clip and save the “Box Tops for Education” coupon on the package. The school will receive 10 cents for each box top. The school is also collecting Campbell’s labels to earn school equipment. Go to www.labelsforeducation.com for a complete list of Campbell’s products. Please deposit the box tops and labels in the box located in the vestibule. CASH FOR TRASH – We continue to collect aluminum cans (Please no scrap metal). All proceeds benefit Mission trips. Please rinse your cans and place them in plastic garbage bags. Collection containers are located in the rear of the LYN house.

RECYCLE TO BENEFIT SCHOOL – CCCS needs your used printer cartridges. Staples will give the school $3 to be used for school supplies for every used printer cartridge they collect. A cartridge deposit box is located in the vestibule.

 1^st SERVICE CHILDREN’S MINISTRY  - We now have a 1^st service children’s ministry in the preschool room, for potty-trained preschoolers ages 3-5!  In addition, Mary Lou Birch will continue her children’s ministry for ages 6-12 during the first service, and Mr. Daniel will conduct “Children’s Church” (preschool through 8^th grade) during the second service.  Contact Mr. Daniel with questions.

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE   - A special Thanksgiving Eve service will be held on Wednesday, November 25^th at 7:00 p.m.  The usual Thursday service (Nov. 26^th) will be cancelled due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING OUTREACH – It’s that time again! Please prayerfully consider being a part of the Calvary Chapel Thanksgiving Outreach. We are in need of donations of food and time. Sign-up sheets are in the rear of the church.  “CHRISTMAS TREES FOR MISSIONS”  – The Morris Tree Farm will be selling Christmas trees to support the 2009 Hands & Feet Ministries Mission Trips.  For every tree purchased a $5 donation will be made to the “Hands & Feet Ministries” mission teams!  Pre-cut or cut fresh, your choice.  From Waynesburg take Rte 21E, turn left at the top of “Loves Hill” onto Ridge Rd.  Follow Ridge Road until you see the sign (on the right).  Call for detailed directions (724) 966-9501.

Through practical application of scripture, humor and story-telling, Randy motivates and encourages young people to live a committed and Spirit-filled life.  NEW WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY – A new Women’s Bible study will begin on Monday 10/19 @ 7p.m. at the Penn Craft Community Center. We will study the book of 1 John. For more information contact Diane Swartz.
