NEW WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY – A new Women’s Bible study will begin on Monday 10/19 @ 7p.m. at the Penn Craft Community Center.  We will study. We will study the book of 1 John.  For more information contact Diane Swartz. 

 

MEN MARK YOUR CALENDARS THIS SATURDAY (10-24), Calvary Chapel Fredericktown will host live, via the Internet, the Calvary Chapel National Men’s Conference from Anaheim, CA.  The conference will be broadcast from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in our sanctuary.  If you can’t be here for the whole day, please feel free to come any time during the day and stay for as long as you wish.  Also, bring a packed lunch.  See D.A. Risley with any questions.

 

HOT DOG SALE A Hot Dog sale is scheduled for Next Sunday, following each of the services.  Proceeds will benefit the Harvest Festival.

HARVEST FESTIVALThis year’s Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 31st at 5:00 p.m. at the East Beth Volunteer Fire Department.  Come and join us for free food, games, and prizes!  Please see Tricia Blatnik or Daniel Caron with questions. HARVEST FESTIVAL CANDY DONATIONSWe are in need of candy donations for the Harvest Festival.  Donations may be placed in the collection boxes located in the foyer on the main floor.  Thank you for your contributions.

 


OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD The kickoff for Operation Christmas Child began last week.  We will collect “filled” shoe boxes and the associated $7 shipping cost until Thursday, 11-17.  Filled shoe boxes can be placed in the collection area of the church foyer.  Contact Tricia Blatnik w/questions.

LICENSED BUS DRIVER NEEDED - The school is looking for a volunteer licensed bus driver (or someone with their CDL license) to drive our students to events or to the park during the school year.

 

 

NURSERY Is in need of donations of toys (in very good condition) for ages 3 and under.  NURSERY MINISTRY LEADER NEEDED - We are looking for volunteer(s) to take over the Nursery Ministry.  This primarily involves making the nursery schedule for each service.  See Diane Swartz or call the church office @ (724-377-2522) for details.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – The kickoff for Operation Christmas Child began last week. We will collect “filled” shoe boxes and the associated $7 shipping cost until Thursday, Nov. 17th. Filled shoe boxes can be placed in the collection area of the church foyer. Contact Tricia Blatnik w/questions.

YOUTH GROUP – We will meet in the Green House this Thursday due to the open house cafeteria tour. Teens should gather at 7p.m. in the cafeteria for a brief period, and we will then walk as a group over to the Green House where the regular Youth Worship and Message will take place.

QUILTING MEETING – Saturday, 10-17 at 2:30p.m. in the basement cafeteria.

SPECIAL THURSDAY NIGHT EVENT – On Thursday, October 15th, we will hold an LYN/CCCS Open House for our church family. Please arrive in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. as usual. Following a brief introduction, we will begin open house tours of the LYN House and the Calvary Chapel Christian School, followed by refreshments. You’ll get to see our facilities and meet with the LYN ministry leaders and the teachers in their ministry environment. Please, also see the bulletin insert for your invitation to this event.

By law you are allowed to take a bus from school to a nearby church for an exciting Bible Club Lesson, and it’s all free! Forms are available on the back table and also at your school office. Nearly half of the world’s population has never heard of the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. The Lord is using the ministry of Gospel for Asia to rise up an army of men and women to reach the most unreached people in Asia with the love of Jesus. Gospel for Asia supports over 16,500 native missionaries in seven Asian countries, and each year these dedicated missionaries lead thousands to the Lord and plant hundreds of churches. David Carroll will share about the incredible impact native missionaries are having as they sacrificially reach millions with the love of God.

 TODAY – “COWBOY ROUNDUP” POTLUCK – Following the 2nd service @ Pumpkin Run Park in Rices Landing. Prizes for best dressed cowboy and cowgirl, and a BBQ sauce contest. We will also have a bonfire w/cowboy inspired worship. The Calvary Chuck wagon will provide meat and drinks. Volunteers needed for clean up and unloading back at the church. Please bring a dish large enough to serve your family +4 more. Also, bring a lawn chair.

THIS WEDNESDAY (9/23), students from across the country will gather at their school’s flag pole for a time of prayer & scripture reading during the annual National School Prayer Meeting. LYN WORKDAY- Is scheduled for Friday, Sept.25, @ 9a.m. We are always in need of worker bees to help process the donations we receive. If you would like to know more about this ministry, or how you can get involved, drop by the LYN house on Friday morning. You can also contact Pam Nuckels.

LYN OPEN HOUSE- LYN will be open THIS Saturday morning from 9:00 – 12:00. If you or someone who has a need for infant or children’s clothing please visit us this Saturday. Volunteer are always needed & welcome to help prepare & serve at the breakfast outreach and/or in our clothing store on the 4th Saturday of each month. Please come and join us as we minister to those in our community.

NEW YORK CITY MISSION TRIP- A reminder to our missionaries who will be going to New York. If you are scheduled to work at the LYN breakfast or clothing store this month, please arrive by 8:00AM. Following LYN we will prepare the outreach supplies for the trip and have our final meeting.

SENIOR HIGH STUDENT MEETING- There will be a planning meeting on Saturday, September, 23rd @ 1:30PM for our Sr. High Youth Project. Please come and share your ideas. THANK YOU FOR THE JEANS! – We have 254 pairs and counting (please keep them coming). Now we need ready hearts and hands to cut and sew them. If interested an informal meeting will be held TODAY following the 2nd service. A signup sheet is located on the rear table. No Experience Necessary! Contact Carol Steve.

NEW FALL LADIES STUDIES MONDAY NIGHT LADIES STUDY – Our new study of the book “Pleasing God” by Kay Smith will begin TOMORROW @ 7p.m. Childcare will be provided. Please sign up if you plan to attend as we will need to know how many books to order. Cost for the book and study materials is $12.50. See Shelly Thomas w/questions.

 MONDAY MORNING LADIES STUDY – Our new Monday morning study BEGAN LAST WEEK in the home of Tricia Blatnik. Meetings will be held at 9a.m. each week. If your schedule doesn’t permit you to attend the 7p.m. meeting, please consider our morning study which will utilize the same text. Separate signup sheets are located on the rear table, so be sure to sign the appropriate list. Contact Tricia w/questions. “Pleasing God should be our greatest aim—a goal that simplifies and covers every part of our lives. The question shouldn’t be, “Is this right or is this wrong?” The question needs to be, “Is this pleasing to God?” – Kay Smith. In “Pleasing God”, Kay Smith exhorts and encourages women to think of God first reveals the secret to a simplified life, living it as a fragrant offering to God. Learn how to put sin in its place, yield to the Holy Spirit, praise God through trials, and offer Him even the smallest part of your life as an act of worship.

HERITAGE DVD SERIES – Thursday @ 7p.m., discover the forgotten and astonishing story of our nation’s foundation in the American Heritage Series. For centuries, Americans were taught a truthful view of history that recognized the Godly heroes and moral foundation our nation was founded upon. But in recent years, a new version of history has assaulted the moral and spiritual fiber of our nation, leaving the truth of our past eliminated and forgotten. Join historian David Barton and experience the untold story of our nation’s history in the American Heritage Series.
